Pys Melyn got chucked out of their first ever gig, at Cardiff’s Clwb Ifor Bach, because they were underage: “fifteen, with about three pieces of facial hair”. The Welsh band have been playing music together since school a decade ago, and their first album was nominated for the Welsh Music Prize in 2021. Their second, Bolmynydd, arrived last year, a feast of laid-back melodies and wistful psychedelia.
