Welcome to Friday The 13th! Unlucky for some … but lucky for y’all as we have put together quite the line-up of sound featuring The C33s (frenetic garage/punk/surf trio from Manchester) plus Clusters of Eyes (brotherly electronic and robot-rock duo).
The C33s are an alternative punk/rock trio from the North West of England consisting of Judy Jones (drums, vocals), Cav Green (guitar, vocals) and Ste Phillips (bass).
Sounding like they’ve just stepped out of CBGB’s in the late 70’s, they also incorporate elements of surf, garage and a Cramps- style tribal approach to their distinctive sound.
“If Quentin Tarantino invented a band to write tunes for his future films they would be called The C33s. One of the best debuts this year for me.” (Louder Than War).
“The C33s refresh the parts other bands cannot reach! Cav, Judy and Ste are definitely one of the most exciting and talented garage punk combos on the planet.” (Northern Jon)
CLUSTERS OF EYES
Two brothers versus the machines. Clusters of Eyes debuted at Smugglers Festival 2018 and have since been inhabiting coastal Kent’s subterranean network of tunnels, honing their set of gritty electronica and robot-rock. Throbbing damaged synth lines meet live bass guitar and drums.
