The band have released two albums and two EP’s since 2013 and their recorded material provides the spine of their live show along with their version of some classic cover songs. The band release their very first single, Walls Come Down, on 1st April 2024. Their latest album, entitled Invisible Highway, is released on 8th May 2024. This latest release blends all the usual musical ingredients into one big melting pot resulting in possibly the band’s strongest album to date.
The launch show for Invisible Highway to be staged at The Lighthouse, Walmer on Friday 17th May 2024 will see special guests joining the band on stage. Bryan Orwell on keyboards, Steve Moreham on violin and Dave Kirk on pedal steel guitar all played on Invisible Highway and will be present on the night.
Tom Cole
Steeped in the traditions of American folk, country, gospel and blues, Tom’s is an Americana style of Alt Country meets Greenwich Village Folk Revival.
Hailing from Hastings on the South Coast of England, Tom crafts heartfelt songs from everyday life, with a softly understated vocal style underpinned by a mix of Merle Travis style fingerpicking and country flatpicking.
Tom’s new album ‘Stops on the Way to Here’ is being released 22nd March 2024. Previous EPs ‘The Road Less Travelled’ and ‘Ramblin’ Man’ are available at https://tomcole.bandcamp.com and on streaming services.
As well as playing solo, Tom’s lucky enough to play with some of the best musicians in the local area under the guise of the Tom Cole Band, and also as a duo with long time musical collaborator Henry Bristow.
Tom also hosts a regular evening: Sunday Sounds at the Brickmaker’s Alehouse in Bexhill, introducing a quality guest folky songwriter, every last Sunday of the month.
