‘Altered State Jazz’ Presents … Jim Mullen Organ Trio

Glasgow-born, multi-award-winning guitarist Jim Mullen is widely regarded as one of the finest guitarists in Europe.

Mullen has toured and recorded around the globe with many US and UK artists including Brian Auger, Kokomo, AWB, Jimmy Smith, Gene Harris, Mose Allison, Georgie Fame, Terry Callier, Jimmy Witherspoon, Hamish Stuart, Incognito, Peter Bernstein and Claire Martin.

In a 15-year partnership with much-loved UK tenor sax player Dick Morrissey in the legendary Morrissey Mullen Band, Jim has also recorded many albums under his own name in quartet and organ trio bands with leading UK musicians.

Tonight he performs with Mike Gorman (organ) (China Moses, Marlena Shaw, Pete King, Kid Creole, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Boy George) and Tristan Malliot (drums) (Art Farmer, Jim Hall, Stan Tracey, Scott Hamilton).
