LAFAYETTE RAILROAD (8:30pm)

Lafayette Railroad are a Kent-based blues band rooted in the raw traditions of New Orleans blues and roots music. Known for their driving grooves, gritty guitar work, funky Hammond and soulful vocals, the band deliver stripped-back, honest blues played with energy and conviction. Regular performers at the Broadstairs Blues Bash Festival, Lafayette Railroad are equally at home in intimate rooms and lively pub stages, focusing on feel, dynamics and a strong connection with the audience.

ALLIGATOR CATS TRIO (6pm)

“A musical road trip down the blues highway from New Orleans to Chicago!”

The Alligator Cats are a blues band with a New Orleans twist. Driven by piano and saxophone, and taking inspiration from artists such as Professor Longhair and Dr John, they perform interpretations of early blues songs in the rhythmic and lively style of 1950s New Orleans Blues bands.

PORCH SWING BLUES (3:30pm)

“Really fine acoustic blues, gospel and ragtime”Blues In Britain

Having played together as a duo for many years as Porch Swing Blues, and steadily gaining a reputation across the South East of England for producing very fine acoustic blues, gospel and ragtime, Dave Ferra and Chris Berry have joined with a fine new rhythm section. Brian Langsdon on double bass, and Gary Smith Lyons on drums add a new energy to the band, which enhances the feel-good sound which has always been the essence of Porch Swing Blues.

MIGDEN & GIBSON (1pm)

David Migden and Joe Gibson are a local acoustic duo performing a mix of original material and adaptations of traditional American roots music. Years of playing together has created a unique combination of styles and an accomplished and authentic sound. They play regularly around the blues and folk circuit and have gained a formidable reputation amongst venue owners and fellow musicians.
