PAINTED VEIN (USA)

Painted Vein is the solo project of musician, producer and audio engineer Andrea Fox Volpato, distilling over a decade of international touring, recording and collaboration into a singular creative voice.

From 2017–2022, Andrea was lead guitarist and backing vocalist with Italian psych-rockers New Candys, touring across Europe, the UK, North America and Australia, opening for acts including The Dandy Warhols, The Black Angels and Brian Jonestown Massacre, and appearing at festivals such as SXSW, Levitation France and Psycho Vegas. He also recorded, mixed and co-produced the band’s final two albums, Bleeding Magenta and Vyvyd.

Alongside this, Andrea has been a long-term collaborator and touring member of Seattle artist MØAA, producing and co-writing Euphoric Recall and Jaywalker, and co-writing the hit single X Marks. He has toured extensively across Europe and the US, sharing stages with Yves Tumor and showcasing at SXSW in 2022 and 2024. Earlier projects include drumming with Italian noise-rock band Love in Elevator, touring Europe and supporting Shellac and Refused.

His debut Painted Vein album, Dripping Only Black, is a fully self-realised statement: every instrument written, performed, produced, recorded and mixed by Andrea in his studios in Venice and Seattle. The album is released on 15 November 2024 via WWNBB and AWAL.

CHALET DE LA ROCHE

Châlet de la Roche is the Francophile duo of David Willis and Tones Sansom, blending brooding post-punk atmospheres with tribal, early-’80s pop influences.

After releasing their debut EP, singles Because and Abandonné picked up airplay from BBC 6 Music and Radio X, alongside a run of live dates. They are currently finishing their second release — a full-length album that pushes their dark, hypnotic sound further.
